A typical day for Travis is waking up at 6 or 6:30 (or 5 on a test day), getting ready and heading off to school, coming home for about a half hour around 5 for a quick dinner, and then studying at the library until 11 or 12 and coming to bed after I'm long gone sleeping. Really we only see each other for that short little time that he's home for dinner. Saturdays he will usually sleep in a little bit and he'll help me with anything I need..but then it's back to the library for a full day of studying. For all of October and November he had two tests a week....and these aren't just any tests...these are study every second of the day and night and pray you can pass tests. There isn't even time to celebrate a test being over because the second he was done with one he would start studying for the next one. Needless to say...we were ready for an extra long weekend! Sorry there are no pictures...I'm pretty bad about taking them.
We had our Thanksgiving dinner the Sunday before Thanksgiving. I'm in a wives club at Trav's school (SAA) and they put the dinner together. They provided the turkey and ham and everyone else just brought the sides. It was SO good! I had been craving Thanksgiving dinner for a month and a half and it was well worth the wait! Now I just need to get to my next craving which is Christmas Eve dinner of honey baked ham, funeral potatoes, etc!
Wednesday Travis had school until noon but then the nice break started! He came home and fixed dinner and we actually got to sit down together and watch a movie that night! That never happens, I'm usually to exhausted by the time he gets home or we have other things to do. The baby seemed to know Travis was home cause she was especially active that night! Travis got to feel her all night long which he never gets to do since I'm usually asleep when he's home.
Thanksgiving day was just a relaxing one for us. It was actually a little cold here...I think it was in the 50's...so it felt a little bit more like Thanksgiving. We decided to go to Golden Corral and it was probably the best choice ever! We had steak, ham, chicken, pot roast, and of course turkey! Why stick to just turkey when you can get everything else with it??
Friday we went to the mall and walked around. There of course was SO many people there...but I loved it! The whole mall was playing Christmas music and they even had a band walking around with Santa playing Christmas music! And since it was back to being really warm here we enjoyed some smoothies. :) Travis made dinner again and then he went off with the missionaries. He goes out with them quite a bit when he has time to. One family they visited was hispanic and they were pretty impressed that Travis could pray for them in spanish. The dad of that family ended up coming to church with us on Sunday.
Saturday we spent the morning cleaning. Travis was good enough to scrub our shower for me since that's the one job I can't do anymore! And of course the BYU/Utah game was that day and Trav's life would end if he missed it...so we went to the house of a couple in our ward for the game. It was a perfect game with cookies and pizza...until BYU lost!
Really we didn't do anything exciting...but it was a nice breath of fresh air to actually spend time with each other and go to bed at the same time. Monday brought us back to reality and Trav has been back to studying late. He has a presentation that he is doing today, 3 tests next week, and 2 tests the next week. We sure have learned how relentless medical school is...but it will be so worth it in the end! It just makes us appreciate the little time we get to spend together even more! For now, we are just counting down the days until we are back in Utah for Christmas with family!!! Travis will have a whole TWO weeks off from school and studying!!! He has to shadow a doctor for a couple days while we are in Utah...but that won't be anything bad. I plan on taking lots of pictures while we are there so hopefully there will be something to show in the next post. :)
As for me, I just keep myself busy with things around the house and cooking this baby! She is still doing great and she lets me eat whatever I want now!....except spaghetti! I can't believe I'm already six months!! I'm getting more and more anxious to meet her....I can tell she already has quite the personality so it will be interesting to actually see it! When I get back from Utah I will start seeing my doctor every two weeks....it will start to go by even faster I'm sure!

Halloween Party!
Last night our friends in our ward had a Halloween party. It was SO much fun!! We didn't want to spend money on costumes...and I am no where near crafty enough to make some...so my sister in law Jenny gave us the idea to go as each other! Travis played my part a little to well. He had the pregnant belly, my basketball shorts (that I constantly wear around the house), my pink slippers, and he waddled around complaining of his back hurting and how hungry he was! I just wore black pants, his shirt and tie, and his doctor jacket and stethescope. To top it all off we even switched wedding rings since we have the same ring size (I'll never stop giving Travis a hard time for his small fingers)! We never thought we would win anything but sure enough we won best couple costume!
The place we had the party was SO awesome! A couple in our ward own this property called Buffalo Ranch. You drive in the through the gate and drive past a small lake, then after the lake is their HUGE house, then behind the house is another sort of guest house type of thing and that is where we had the party. The patio of this little guest house had a fireplace and cool lights everywhere. We had the party out on the patio cause you know...it's Texas and we can still party outside at night...it only got a little bit cold. THEN behind that little guest house is a little office building where they work from and behind that is a HUGE barn where they keep all their horses. They raise cutting horses and I think she said they just started raising reigning horses as well. Pretty much their property is so much fun and I wish it had been light enough outside to take pictures of! Some day I'll get my amazing home and ranch!

Growing Pains
Last night I could not sleep to save my life!! My stomach was SO sore! It was like I had done an intense ab work out! Then I woke up and found my stomach was twice the size as it was when i went to bed...it must have been hard at work all night! I text Travis and told him but I don't think he really believed me until he got home and saw for himself. He told me at least people will know I'm pregnant now instead of just looking like I've got a gut. What a sweetheart he is... :) As much as I hate pictures of myself I'm posting one for all those back home! I'm 21 weeks now...next week I will be 5 months and I'll have another doctors appointment! I'm slowly getting closer and closer to having her here!

We are having a......
GIRL!!!!! My sonnogram was today and we got a VERY clear shot that it's a girl!! Travis was able to take some time off class so he got to actually see her and hear the heart beat for the first time! All the organs are looking very healthy and she is measuring perfectly for how far along I am....which is 19 weeks! We are soooo excited and can't wait to start buying stuff to finally fill our empty spare room!! She has also been turning into quite the little kicker....it must come from her soccer playing daddy. I've been starting to be able to tell the difference between a kick or if it's just her rolling around and it's so much fun! I can't wait for Travis to actually be able to feel her! This is her looking up at the camera with her hands up by her face on both sides. I love her little alien looking eyes!
Last but not least here is my baby bump at 19 weeks for all of you that have been asking for a picture. Sorry it's so awkward but I had to take it myself and I didn't want my face in it...I'll have to have Travis take a better one sometime.
Side view of her cute little face. :)
This one kind of uploaded blurry and you can't really see the writing but it's the picture showing that she's a girl.Last but not least here is my baby bump at 19 weeks for all of you that have been asking for a picture. First Doctor Appointment!!
I'm 13 weeks and I finally made it to my doctor!! He said the baby is looking perfectly healthy and strong!! It was so much fun to be able to finally see it and see the little heart beating away. For some reason I had this fear walking into the appointment that they would do the ultra sound and not find anything and that it was all in my imagination...but nope!! Right when he put the thing on my stomach a little baby popped up on the screen!
My doctor is amazing! He is a professor at Trav's school and he really takes the time to sit and talk with you and answer any questions. He made me feel like I was his first patient ever because he was so excited about every step we were doing in the appointment. He just kept telling me how amazing it is to have kids and that I will never regret doing it!! He also said that he really believes in the miracle of having babies naturally so he won't suggest a C-section unless I absolutely need one...which I love!! He also said that if he's not at the hospital he will usually just let the on-call doctor do the delivery but since Travis is a med student he WILL be there for my delivery. He said he really likes to be able to support people going through medical school wether it's doctors or nurses and so he likes to give those people extra special treatment. :)
I also found out that I lost 10 pounds from the constant throwing up I was doing (thank goodness I'm past that!) so the doctor said he would be more happy if I gained around 35 pounds instead of the 25 he usually tells people to gain. Fine by me!!! I'll just eat my little heart out and enjoy every second of it!!
Travis and I are already so in love with this baby!! And as you can tell from the picture it is already adorable....it will have everyone wrapped around it's little fingers in no time!!
Well I'll have my next appointment October 7th and have my major sonnogram done so hopefully we'll know what gender it is next month!! We'll keep you updated!

BIG Changes!!!!
I know it has been a while since I last posted and a lot has happened!! Since the last post we got married, got pregnant, and moved to our new home in Fort Worth, Texas!! Our wedding was amazing!! It was so good to have ALL our family there together! The whole day was sort of a blur and I don't even know what was served at our reception, but I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!
And yes you heard me! We have having a baby March 5, 2011! Our plans originally were to wait 6 months-1 year-1 1/2 years....basically it was still up in the air. But a month after we were married I got a VERY strong feeling that someone was waiting up there for us and we needed to get our family started. Travis of course freaked out at first...like any man would...but after he prayed about it he agreed that it was time. At least it will give me something to do while he's in school!
Last of all, we finally made the 22ish hour drive to our new home in Texas. What a fun drive that was!! No one bothered to tell me you get car sick when your pregnant! Luckily we had both our parents help us move here so I didn't have to do to much work! Travis had orientation July 19-23, had his white coat ceremony July 24, and he started his classes July 25. We have already met some really nice people here...mainly people Trav goes to school with. There are 3 other LDS students in his entire class so we'll be with them lots I'm sure.
There are lots of fun things to do here....if we could do them! We live 15-20 minutes from six flags, the cowboy stadium, rangers stadium, and a huge water slide park. And we are about 5 minutes from the Fort Worth zoo and downtown Fort Worth. You just have to be willing to brave the heat and humidity to go do those things....oh...and it would help to not be on a med school budget or be pregnant! I'm sure we'll at least make it to six flags sometime in the 4 years we'll be here!
Well that's all the updates I have for now! I'll try to get pictures up soon of our townhome! For now you can just enjoy Travis in his new white coat!
